Who said Gaming was fun?

I play World of Warcraft, which is made by Blizzard Entertainment. I find this game fun, challenging, and exciting.
However lately I am finding that some players in the MMORPG are just plain, how can I say this nicely, retarded, no, no, no, ahh yes, dumb asses. Why dumb asses? Well I am one of the Guild master’s for a guild in the game, ok well I’m the head GM but there are Co gm’s as well.
But every day I find that people will message me asking me the same old questions over and over and over again. The Guild I belong to has a web site that we have forums on. These forums have all the answers to all the questions I get in game from private tells (whispers). Yet these people cannot seem to read anything. Yet for some unfounded reason they know how to type words. Hmmmm It’s not even like we hide the web site link or anything, it is right there in the guild info for all members to READ.
The worst part is people who call themselves raiders but cannot actually show up for a raid on time, let alone early enough to get a invite to the raid group so the rest of us are not sitting around at our computers for 45 minutes bored out of our minds. I mean how damn hard is it to actually make it to your computer, sit your ass down and log in for an in game event that you have known about and even accepted a week earlier? I guess so damn hard, cause it happens every weekend, over and over and over again. I mean makes me wonder if these people who claim to be organized players actually work for a living. Hell they can’t possibly cause if they were late every damn day they wouldn’t have a job to go to anymore as their bosses would end up firing their asses. Something about commitment to playing a game seems to be hard for some people to comprehend. I mean it not like getting a pap smear or having a tooth pulled out by tweezers. It is a damn game in which you made the decision to play in the first place. If you wanted to play casually and not have others who rely on your attendance, then buddy you should go back to single player games where there is usually a pause button you can push when you need to be away from your computer. Or better yet read the application you filled out to join as a member of my guild as we state we are a raiding guild.
We are not going to hold your hand and wipe your ass for you. We are going to expect you to be at your computer on raid days logged in and ready for the raid invites to be sent out. We are going to expect you to have what you need before we enter the dungeon to begin the event. We are going to expect you to actually know how to play your damn character. You were carried for almost 10 months by your mother then evicted, why would you think for one minute that people you have never truly met other then voices on line will start carrying you? Did you not receive enough oxygen on exit at birth?
Oh and then there are those who will cry you a new river if they are cut from the raid and replaced, like you did the most horrible thing by cutting them because they don’t show up. Ok I get you don’t really have to give a shit about the other 24 players of real people who sit behind their computers waiting for your ass to show up cause hey, you don’t know them in real life anyways; not like they could actually come over and make you sit at your computer, so who gives a shit. Well shocking news is they don’t have to give a shit about you either. The loser who accepts an invite but doesn’t show up, who comes unprepared to raid and expects others to carry them through the encounters so they can roll on in game gear for their characters. Yep the pendant swings both ways buddy.
Well then if all that isn’t bad enough there are the players who pay 15 bucks a month (Canadian) that love to do nothing all day but sit in trade chat acting like they know it all. Calling others down, talking trash, having pissing contest, pretending they get laid once every 20 years and just over all being a complete ass hats in game, those are the people that you wish doctor’s wouldn’t try and save if they ever needed medical attention. Those are also the same people that make you wish humans would eat their young at birth, instead of allowing them to grow up and subjecting the rest of us to them.
Ever hear a kid try and tell complete strangers how many times he has slept with women...Makes you feel kind of nausea, but hey I believe those kids because I am sure they are referring to the dirty porn mags under their mattresses. Yep, would make any parent proud if they could only see what Jr. is talking about in Trade chat. Oh don’t forget the trade chat fans of Chuck Norris. It’s Chuck Norris this and that. Half these people do not even know who the hell Chuck Norris is. Oh wait they seen him on the bow flex commercials... that’s right he is such a great actor he had to do infomercials’ to make ends meet. Damn I am sorry I forgot he is the greatest actor of all times. GAWWWWWWWWD!
Oh. Oh. Oh and you gotta just love the actually females who say they are gamers but use gaming as a dating service. I mean omg, it’s those women who make it hard for the real women gamers to actually play because every creepy, lonely, unemployed guy who couldn’t possibly get a date in real life, will start to hit on you in game because they think all women who play MMORPG’s are just dying to be talked dirty to by some crazy male who dresses in women cloths while playing on the computer. Yep, sounds dreamy ladies, better log in now to get one for yourself before they are all gone.
Then there are those who insist that they must talk all the time, I mean all the time. They never shut the fuck up. EVER! Ok mind you, they are in their teens. Occasionally the odd adult will do the same but mainly the teen kid players. I just feel sorry for their teachers, parents, and friends in real life cause if they talked even 1/3 as much as they do in ventrilo. All I can say is I am sure heads are exploding all over the town/city that they live in.
I recommend anyone needing to really understand what it is like to be a gamer to try it out. Who knows you might just be the next in game ass hat we have all been waiting for. BUT if you actually have some intelligence in your head then maybe we could be your next guild mates!
